Seemänner machen Schluss ist eine Installation, bestehend aus einem Videoloop und sechs Briefen in verschiedenen Größen und Formen.
Der Heuerbaas hat seine Seemannschaft komplett. Morgen früh geht das große Schiff auf Reise. Die Matrosen sitzen im Hafenkrug und müssen nur noch eine Hürde nehmen: Abschiedsbriefe an ihre Freundinnen schreiben.
Der raue Seewind findet sich auch in der Zähigkeit und Unbeholfenheit ihrer Abschiedsworte. Ein Matrose sagt dem Heuerbaas ab. Er ist verliebt.
Den Abschiedsbriefen steht als Videoloop der Monolog des zurückbleibenden Seemannes gegenüber.
Sailors break up
Sailors break up is an installation consisting of a video loop and six letters of various sizes and shapes.
The Heuerbaas has its crew complete. Tomorrow morning the big ship goes on a journey. The sailors are sitting in the Hafenkrug and have to overcome one last hurdle: write farewell letters to their girlfriends.
The rough sea breeze also makes for the gruffness and awkwardness of their parting words. One sailor doesn‘t want to go along. He is in love.
The farewell letters are juxtaposed with a video loop on which the remaining seaman speaks his monologue.
